Privacy Statement

Article 1 Introduction

1.1 Proper handling of data provided by visitors is of great importance to the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief. Personal details are processed with due care and protection. In this respect the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief meets the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act.

Article 2 Handling of personal data

2.1 For the purposes of service provision, the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief stores personal data from visitors/customers in a database. Visitors enter the information themselves, and can change the information on the ‘My Profile’ page on the website www.gahetna.nl. The Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief uses this information exclusively to enable online ordering of products.

2.2 Some of the information may be passed to a third party responsible for delivering an order. In such cases this third party is also bound by the Privacy Statement described here.

Article 3 Your rights

3.1 The Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief wishes to make clear how it handles personal data from its visitors. This Statement hopes to contribute to this clarity. Should you nevertheless have any questions about the manner in which the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief handles your personal data, please send a message to the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief.

3.2 Please also send a message to the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief if you would like us to remove your data from the database.
Such a message can also be used to indicate that you no longer wish to receive offers by e-mail or by post.

Article 4 Cookies

4.1 The Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief makes use of ‘cookies’ for the provision of its electronic services. A cookie is a file that is stored on a computer’s hard disk. Cookies are used to keep track of the preferences set by the Customer for a particular service. Cookies can also be used to prevent a Customer being shown a particular advertisement too often, or to keep track of how often an advertisement is shown. Cookies cannot damage your computer or the files stored on your computer.

Article 5 Notification

5.1 The Dutch Data Protection Authority in The Hague has been notified of the processing of personal data (such as name, address, place of residence and telephone number, as well as your search profile) by the Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief, the organisation responsible for your personal data.

Article 6 Changes

6.1 The Foundation of Friends of the Nationaal Archief reserves the right to make changes to this Statement. Please therefore check this Statement on a regular basis.
