Boarded at the Cape

With the exception of seafarers who enter service at the Cape, crew boarding here appear twice in the database. They not only appear in the pay-register of the ship departing from the Cape (usually to Batavia), but they also appear in the register of the ship they had previously departed with from the Netherlands, which is the register containing their entire engagement. Names can of course be written differently and sometimes the information is incomplete, so that it remains unclear with which ship they departed with from the Netherlands. As they appear twice they can also be requested apart from each other.
